FITNESS
The term fitness is used for many different things- emotional, social, spiritual, mental, nutritional and physical fitness.
In this sense FITNESS is a multi- dimensional concept and the level of fitness in one area can influence the other.
What does fitness mean?
The term fitness is defined in many different aspects in life, What does the
word fitness mean to you?
Is it purely a physical definition= or does it bring in mental well being,
emotional well being, spiritual well being, or just being content within
yourself.
When thinking of the word fitness what springs to your mind?
Being able
to comfortably walk round town with out a problem, maybe just running around
with the family at the local park.
Or do you fall in to the category of thinking hardcore training hitting the
gym 5-6 times a week, pumping iron, sweat dripping , muscles tearing, to then
build new muscle fibres for bigger, more defined toned muscles.
I guess fitness to everyone means different things, there is no right or
wrong answer everyone is entitled to their opinion.
What i want to talk about today is physical fitness, and how both you and I
think differently.
For me I really love hitting the gym Hard, I love that sensation of your
muscles burning, the build up of lactic acid, the pumped I have really worked
hard thoughts that cross my mind.
I think of several different things when I zone myself out. ( harden up and
stop being a girl)
where I am aiming to be, and how I am going to feel at
the end of the session.
The feelings that I reap from that huge adrenaline rush release any anger or
stress that I have had, and make me feel on top of the world.
But if you dont like any of the above, you dont have to think the way I
think;
Because I believe that fitness means MANY different things, You can be fit in
many ways,
Like a few of the wellbeings I mentioned at the start.
